SIMUTools 2008, the First International Conference on Simulation Tools and Techniques for Communications, Networks and Systems, is the inaugural session of what we expect to be a long series of successful and fruitful Conferences. We have no doubts that this conference will become an important resource for researchers in the field, as it comes at the right time to fill a gap in this area of research.
According to the large number of submissions (114 plus Posters and Workshops), there is no doubt that this Conference has the potential to become the main resource for academia, industry and practitioners. Indeed, while there is no simulation results without simulation tools and techniques, very few Conferences so far did explicitly focus on this subject.
The Technical Program Committee accepted 33 Full papers (out of 92), plus 11 Work-In-Progress papers, 4 Short papers and 11 posters. In addition to this high quality program, we are very proud to present three great Plenary Speakers (Thomas R. Henderson, Richard M. Fujimoto, and Bernard P. Zeigler) and an attractive tutorial on NS-3.
Happy New SIMUTools !
