Call for Papers

Scope

SIMUTools 2024 is the 16th edition of the annual International Conference on Simulation Tools and Techniques. The conference focuses on a broad range of research challenges in the field of simulation, modeling and analysis, addressing current and future trends in simulation techniques, methods, models, practices and software and tools. The conference is dedicated to fostering interdisciplinary collaborative research in these areas and across a wide spectrum of application domains.

Building on the success of the previous editions, this year’s edition will provide an exciting forum for interaction among academic and industry researchers together with practitioners from both the modeling and simulation community, the emulation community, the development community, and the different user communities. The SIMUTools 2024 conference will be held in Bratislava, Slovakia, on December 9-10, 2024.

The conference invites submissions on the topics below in all areas of modeling and simulation. Submissions in interdisciplinary areas are especially encouraged, such as: Transportation & Logistics, Production & Manufacturing, Smart Cities, Healthcare Systems, Telecommunication Systems, Energy Systems, Environmental Challenges, Bioinformatics, Mathematical Analysis and Simulation, Societal Challenges, and so on. The conference also invites industrial case studies in the area of the platforms, tools, and technologies related to modeling and simulation.

All registered papers will be submitted for publishing by Springer – LNICST book series as an edited book and made available through SpringerLink Digital Library.

Proceedings will be submitted for inclusion in leading indexing services, such as Web of Science, Compendex, Scopus, DBLP, EU Digital Library, Google Scholar, IO-Port, MathSciNet, Inspec, and Zentralblatt MATH.

Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit an extended version to:

  • Mobile Networks and Applications (MONET) Journal [IF: 3.8 (2022)]
  • Algorithms (ISSN 1999-4893) [IF: 2.3 (2022)]
(EI Compendex, Scopus,ESCI (Web of Science),DBLP Computer Science Bibliography (Universität Trier), and MathSciNet)
Algorithms is an open-access journal of computer science; theory; methods; and interdisciplinary applications, data and information systems, software engineering, artificial intelligence, and automation and control systems, and is published online monthly by MDPI. The journal has received the first Impact Factor of 2.3 from Web of Science in June 2023 and received an increased CiteScore of 3.7, released by Scopus in June 2023.

All accepted authors are eligible to submit an extended version in a fast track of:

Additional publication opportunities:

Paper submission

Papers should be submitted through EAI ‘Confy+‘ system, and have to comply with the Springer format (see Author’s kit section).

  • Regular papers should be up to 12-15+ pages in length.
  • Short papers should be 6-11 pages in length.

All conference papers undergo a thorough peer review process prior to the final decision and publication. This process is facilitated by experts in the Technical Program Committee during a dedicated conference period. Standard peer review is enhanced by EAI Community Review which allows EAI members to bid to review specific papers. All review assignments are ultimately decided by the responsible Technical Program Committee Members while the Technical Program Committee Chair is responsible for the final acceptance selection. You can learn more about Community Review here.
